Launched in 2014 by busy mother-of-five Sonia Deasy, Pestle & Mortar understands how difficult it can be to find a daily skincare routine that is both simple and effective. Sonia was determined to find a solution to fix dull, dehydrated skin and was driven by the belief that it shouldn’t be complicated, which we more than agree with. So she produced a line of highly effective products that are "innovative yet unpretentious to understand". The brand name comes from Deasy’s uncle who practises as a ‘medicine man’ in India today in the exact same spot as five generations before him. He uses a 100-year-old pestle and mortar to grind down powders and medicines. Deasy says “I named my business Pestle & Mortar because my vision is that it will withstand the test of time”.
