True Skincare's founder, Emma Thornton, spent her career marketing some of the most exclusive beauty brands around. It was then that she discovered that a typical moisturiser contains up to 80% water, and with the ever-growing mass of plastic and fuel pollution going into our oceans, something needed to be done. So, she did. Emma made a conscious decision to keep her formulations entirely waterless. And we’re here for it.
Read MoreEmma isn’t satisfied with ‘green beauty’. She believes in – and is striving for – a more ‘blue beauty’ industry. Not only will you never see ‘aqua’ in True Skincare ingredient lists but they are also certified organic by the Soil Association. Emma says “we strongly believe that organic products are better for the workers and better for the planet”. All of True Skincare’s ingredients are sourced and produced by the brand itself. It has also partnered with Ecodrive to ensure it becomes a carbon neutral company by offsetting its emissions through tree planting, as well as working with environmental charity Fauna & Flora International.
